Fresh Tracks Canada

Situation:
Fresh Tracks, an online travel booking business providing custom trips to Canada, needed help in taking their marketing to the next level including developing a clear brand positioning, direction on how to implement effective marketing programs and discovery of “what’s next” in their marketing.
Solution:
Conducted Customer Says survey in order to better understand the Fresh Tracks customer. Based on research findings, developed a clear brand positioning including identifying a unique selling proposition that would resonate with the Fresh Tracks customer. Provided Fresh Tracks with a written creative brief including revised tagline and clearly stated customer benefits that was used to guide the re-design and revised copy for the website and product development. Worked with Fresh Tracks management to develop a marketing plan that included new testing options for online marketing and new promotional offers such as the “Whistler Price Guarantee”.
Results:
· Developed customer profile including identifying customer needs and preferences
· Uncovered key drivers of satisfaction by product type
· Dramatically shifted the mix of email versus phone inquiries by 25% (phone inquiries, with a higher closing rate are more consistent with new unique selling proposition)

Far Fetched Imports
Situation:
Far Fetched Imports, a retail furniture and accessories business offering unique furniture at unique prices wanted clarification on whether or not they were headed in the right direction with their marketing and whether they were missing anything. What they were missing was clear positioning, balancing retail versus branding efforts as they prepare for company expansion.
Solution:
Made recommendations on balancing the need for building a brand with the need for driving retail results by restructuring marketing messages to achieve both branding and retail objectives. Defined Customer Relationship Cycle and recommended appropriate marketing activities at each stage. Developed a marketing calendar that included recommendations for integrated marketing events and power periods. Introduced new retail strategies such as up-sell, cross promotions, in-store events and new store opening plans. Made recommendations for improvements to their advertising program, including using a standard template design and inclusion of “media flighting”.

Reviewed customer feedback in order to better understand Wiggins Custom Woodworks’ customers. Based on research findings, developed a clear brand positioning strategy to build a premium brand including identifying a unique selling proposition that would resonate with their customer. Recommended that WCW align both their marketing and operations behind the brand positioning, including; redesign of their logo, merchandising changes and establishing a new sales process. Developed new customer acquisition strategy and implemented key marketing and sales measurements of success.

T-Mobile
Situation:
T-Mobile, a national st1:country-region>US wireless carrier with over 20 million subscribers, needed several brainstorming sessions to address specific segments, strategies or communication issues.
Solution:
Used unique venue and creative brainstorming exercises that helped participants develop empathy for the target segment in approaching new product / service ideas. Facilitated ideation sessions on various topics including rate plans, retail strategy, marketing messaging and the integrated marketing calendar process.
